Winter arrived, and so did the Sports Olympiad. It left behind a trail of history, providing another chance for students to pursue their supreme ambition and fulfill a lifetime dream of becoming sports champions.
In early December 2023, during the cold winters, Peshawar Model School came alive with the spirit of sportsmanship as 10 teams from all our campuses gathered for a thrilling Sports Olympiad 2023. Over three action-packed days from December 7 to 9, students showcased their athletic prowess and determination in a series of 8 exciting games.
As the sun rose on the first day, the opening ceremony set the stage for a memorable sporting event. Flags waved proudly, the parade of scouts circled the ground, teams displayed their power, Sufis twirled, drums rolled, spectators roared, and the Olympic torch illuminated the sky, symbolising the unity of the Peshawar Model School community.
Each day unfolded with a fresh set of challenges, highlighting the diverse skill sets of the students. From football fields to badminton courts, from cricket pitches to basketball courts, from tug of war to race grounds, the competitive spirit was thrilling and contagious. Cheers and applause echoed across the Hayatabad Sports Complex ground as participants displayed true spirits of sportsmanship, for the glory of sports and the honour of the teams.
The one epic battle for the ultimate trophy came to an end when success was earned on the track, on the field, with blood and sweat. The winning teams who fought with spirit conquered the mighty Hayatabad Sports Complex and made a heroic return to their campuses.
Hayatabad Thunders from PMS Hayatabad Boys Campus remain the champions of Sports Olympiad 2023. Lady Titans of PMS Girls 1, on the other hand, won the championship among overall girls’ campuses. Charsadda Sultans were the runner-up in this epic battle.
Peshawar Model School Sports Olympiad did not leave their little athletes behind in the race. The Junior Sports Olympiad kicked off from November 29th to December 1st at Peshawar Model School (Boys-1), Warsak Road Campus, in which the athletes of KinderCare to Class 5 showcased their prowess, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The tiny champs dreamt big and played even bigger in different games like:

The Sports Olympiad of 2023 will be remembered not just as a series of games but as a burst of spirit and enthusiasm that defines Peshawar Model School. Our goal is out of reach but never out of sight, we see athletics as a part of moral upbringing and social education. Therefore, until the next Sports Olympiad, let the memories of these three days serve as a reminder that, in the world of sports, every participant is a winner.
